Yesterday was Family day. A holiday here in Canada that has been dedicated to spending time with your family. Every year we go to get a coffee, (I get a plain mint tea) then for a long walk, tobogganing, building a snowman etc. and then home to play some board games. This year there was no snow, but the weather was absolutely gorgeous. 🙂 So we went for a 3 hour walk. It was nice to be with my family, but it was also nice to see so many other families enjoying this day together as well. I saw more people on Family day than I did all last summer in the same area. It was like a spring day, the sun was shinning, the birds were chirping, squirrels and chipmunks chasing each other. People leaving bird seed out. It was like a clip from Snow White and the Seven Dwarf when Snow White has the forest animals all around her and she starts singing. Luckily for my family I didn’t break out in song! I thought about it though! 😉

A special thank you to my daughter for letting me share the beautiful pics she took . . . Most of the pictures I use are hers! She has a great eye! And always captures some very special memories! 😉 So thank you xox

What a wonderful way to spend the day. Beautiful photos too. The U.S. needs to incorporate a Family Day into the calendar. Family time is so undervalued here. The weather has been positively gorgeous here as well. We are taking every opportunity to enjoy it as well.
